ESAM Design (Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes) is a school of interior architecture and design that stands out among institutions for its status as a fully independent establishment.

Located in Paris (Batignolles district, 17th arrondissement), ESAM Design is dedicated to training future professionals in space design.

For 75 years, we have cultivated a more personalized educational approach focused on hands-on learning, innovation, and individualized support.

The diploma is overseen and regulated by the CFAI (French Council of Interior Architects), which recognizes only 17 schools in France, including ESAM Design.

    ESAM Design serves as a launching pad to begin one's professional journey: 90% of our graduates, leveraging their knowledge and experiences gained through internships or apprenticeships, find employment within 6 months of graduation.

    A DIPLOMA CERTIFIED BY THE STATE

    The Diploma delivered by ESAM Design is a certified title by the National Commission for Vocational Qualifications (Ministry of Labor).
    Title of Interior Architect / Designer RNCP level 7 (published by France Compétences on 03/27/2024).
    The school is also one of the 17 French schools recognized by the CFAI (French Council of Interior Architects).

    PERSONALIZED SUPPORT

    Small class sizes and dedicated moments for listening and support are the tools that ESAM Design has implemented for a truly personalized monitoring of each student.

    This support is particularly important in the preparatory year to acquire all the necessary skills for the rest of the curriculum. During the final years of the curriculum, students receive individual assistance in their search for internships and employment.

    FLEXIBILITY OF ADAPTATION

    During the Covid crisis, the teaching team swiftly transitioned to distance learning with great responsiveness. All classes were maintained, as well as student support. If you have a disability, we assist you in finding all the necessary adaptations to ensure a successful academic journey. Our disability referent Jonathan Candale is your main point of contact.

    POSSIBILITY OF STUDYING WITH APPRENTICESHIP

    Convinced of the importance of creating synergy between school and company work, ESAM Design offers its students the option to choose apprenticeship from the 4th year onwards. A real stepping stone for the integration of future graduates, it allows them to gain professional experience while pursuing a personalized study program. The school holds the Qualiopi standard.

    AN INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

    An international experience is a decisive asset in a student's journey. That's why ESAM Design is part of the Erasmus+ program and encourages its students to spend at least one semester abroad during their studies. Some workshops are conducted in English.

    All courses at ESAM Design are taught by active professionals (designers, interior architects, artistic directors, graphic designers, illustrators, artists...) who combine industry experience with a commitment to teaching.

    ESAM Design can assist its students through its network of 4600 alumni to provide internships and professional opportunities. A partnership and corporate relations manager oversees this network, prepares students for job hunting, and lays the foundations for their professional careers.
